Recently been getting a lot of questions about how to source furniture remotely from Foshan, China. So I wrote this article. If you have the same need, check it out ~

ToggleBefore We Start
To be honest, I really hope every client can come to China and do the sourcing in person.
Why?
- You see the quality with your own eyes
- Decisions get made much faster
- Trust builds up quickly
But I totally get it – some clients just can’t come.
Visa issues, time problems, budget, or maybe you just don’t want to make this a big trip right now. I’ve seen all of these.
So here’s what I want to say: It’s totally fine if you can’t come.
In fact, we do remote sourcing projects all the time. Clients from different countries, many of whom I’ve never met in person – and everything went smoothly.
The One Thing We Need: Trust
If you’re not coming to China, the only thing we ask is that you trust us enough.
I don’t mean blind trust. I mean:
- Trust that we will follow the contract
- Trust that we will check the quality for you
- Trust that we will communicate any issues early
If you can give us that trust, everything will go smoothly.
Our service quality is exactly the same – whether you come or not.
Coming vs Not Coming: A Simple Comparison
| Come to China | Remote Sourcing | |
| Quality check | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ See it yourself | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Samples + inspection |
| Decision speed | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Instant | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Takes a few rounds |
| Travel cost | High (flights, hotels, time) | Zero |
| Trust needed | Medium | Higher |
| Our service quality | Same | Same |
| Bottom line: Coming is great. Not coming is fine too. As long as trust is there, we’ll get it done. |
Remote Sourcing: The Complete Process (7 Steps)
I’ll share two real client stories here – one from Dubai, one from Israel – so you can see exactly how this works in real life.
Step 1: Agreement + Small Deposit
After you check out our portfolio and decide to work with us, we sign a service contract. You pay a small deposit – nothing crazy, just a reasonable amount.
This step locks in time and responsibility for both sides.
Step 2: Product Selection – This Is Where You Need to Be Involved
We’ll send you product catalogs based on the photos and style you share.
Here are your options:
Option A – You have a clear style in mind
- Pick styles from the catalog
- Confirm size, material, color
- We get quotes from factories
Option B – You have no idea what you want
- We send you full catalogs
- You pick what you like
- We send you quotes
Option C – You have reference photos and want custom products
- Send us photos + measurements
- We work with experienced custom factories to make them
Important: Whether you come to China or not, you still need to know what you want. This step takes some back-and-forth, so you’ll need to make time for it. Otherwise, the project can’t move forward.
【Real Client Story – Dubai】
The Dubai client went with Option A. He knew exactly what he wanted – a full house of furniture for his own villa.
He sent us reference photos. We matched the styles from our catalogs. The final product list included:
- Sofas
- Beds
- Lounge chairs
- Dining table
- Dining chairs
- Bar stools
- Lights and more
He never came to China. Everything was done on WhatsApp.
Language & Time Zones (For Overseas Clients)
I work with overseas clients remotely all the time. English or Chinese – both work.
I’ll schedule key checkpoints in advance. You won’t be waiting for replies in the middle of the night.
WhatsApp, WeChat, email – whatever works for you.
3 Things Clients Worry Most About (And How We Solve Them)
I know you might not say it, but I’ll just put it out there:
1. “What if I pay and never get my stuff?”
→ We sign a proper contract, use traceable payment methods, and every deposit goes to a real factory order.
2. “What if the actual product looks nothing like the photo?”
→ We inspect the goods before shipping, take photos and videos, and only release them after you confirm.
3. “What if something goes wrong and I can’t reach anyone?”
→ I will coordinate with the factories and provide solutions
Step 3: Finalize the List + Price Negotiation
Once all products are confirmed, I’ll put together a complete detail sheet for you, including:
- Style, price, size, material
- Color, direction, craftsmanship
- Volume, weight, packaging
You go through it and check if everything matches your needs.
If anything comes up during production, I’ll communicate with you right away.
And yes – I’ll help negotiate prices for you.
【Real Client Story – Israel】
The Israel client’s process was a bit different. He didn’t order everything at once – he kept adding items along the way.
The project started in March 2026. But during production, he kept coming up with new products. Every time, we responded quickly – updated the list, updated the quotes, updated the schedule.
We finally shipped in May 2026. The timeline stretched because of all the add-ons, but the client got everything he wanted.

Step 4: Deposit + Production Starts
After the invoice is confirmed, you pay a 30%–50% deposit (depends on the product type).
We pay the factory and start production for you.
You only need to talk to me. My team and I handle all the factories behind the scenes.
Step 5: CAD Drawing Confirmation (For Custom Products)
For custom products, the factory will send CAD drawings for you to approve.
Yes, it’s a bit tedious. No, we can’t skip it.
After everything is confirmed, production begins.
Lead time is about 40–50 days

Step 6: Inspection + Final Payment + Shipping
After production, we go to the factory, inspect against the contract, and send you:
- Inspection photos
- Inspection videos
- Our honest feedback
Once you confirm, we arrange the final payment to the suppliers.
Step 7: Shipping + Documents + Delivery
We check the shipping schedule, book the container, load it, and ship it to you.
We’ll confirm with you:
- Door to door
- Or port to port
All necessary documents (bill of lading, packing list, invoice, etc.) will be prepared for you.
You just need to:
- Arrange payment for shipping costs
- Wait for your goods
Step 8: Long-Term Support After Delivery
After your goods arrive in your country – if anything comes up, any problem at all – we’re still here to help. Online.
The project doesn’t end when you receive the goods.
What You Need to Prepare Before We Start
To make remote sourcing smooth, here’s what you should have ready:
- ✅ Reference photos (3–5 pictures that best show what you want)
- ✅ Key measurements (length, width, height – even a hand sketch with numbers works)
- ✅ Usage scenario (home? commercial? outdoor?)
- ✅ Target price range (important – so we don’t show you things outside your budget)
A note on quality: We focus on the mid-to-high end. I believe if you’re sourcing from China, you care about quality. I think we’re on the same page here.
If you have nothing ready at all – no problem. Just start from our catalogs. We’ll guide you.
Final Words
If you come to China: Highest efficiency, clearest standards, fastest trust. By the way , if you come here , you may still have a tourist .
If you can’t come: Totally doable. Same process. Same quality.
The only difference isn’t our service –
it’s that we need a little more trust from you.
We do remote sourcing all the time.
All you need to do is take the product selection seriously. Leave the rest to us.
If you’re planning your first remote sourcing project but aren’t sure where to start – feel free to reach out.
